‘Venus mussel imitation glass dish 30×33 cm from the Swedish Kosta Boda is made of crystal glass and designed by Åsa Jungnelius. The decorative dish is inspired by the famous painting The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli from the 1480s, where the Roman goddess Venus is carried on a shell after her birth from the sea. The object from the Kosta Boda Artist Collection is cast in a mold at Kosta Glasbruk.’
